The building will be 3 and 4 storeys high, with a contemporary mono pitch roof design and will be cut into the bank to minimise the overall massing and scale of the building.
It will be constructed in high quality, traditional materials including timber, red brick and render to respect the traditional residential character of the area.
An attractive amenity space will be located adjacent to the main car park, close to the main entrance at the rear of the building. This area will be safe, secure and level, and will be a pleasant area for residents to sit, especially as it is south facing.
The sustainable location of this site, being so close to the town centre and public transport, makes it an ideal location for a nursing home. It also makes efficient use of a brownfield site in line with local and government policies.
