Forming part of the overall master-plan for the Malinslee area, the Malinslee Primary Care Facility, Brunel Road, has been carefully set out to meet the exacting requirements of the lead GP.
The new facility will contain a six Doctor surgery, two Partner dental practice and community pharmacy ensuring the continued and improved provision of healthcare. The existing practice, suffering from the confines and limitations of their existing outdated building, wished to increase the level of healthcare provision.
The Client opted to look to a new purpose built facility on an adjacent site. In doing so it has allowed them to tailor a brief specific to the communities needs including a dedicated nurse treatment facility, minor surgery suite and physiotherapy room. Updated access provision – both for vehicular and pedestrian traffic – ensures improved access for all whilst the increased, spacious public areas benefit the patient’s ensuring light and modern surroundings for all.
The final scheme will form part of the wider development that includes Old Park Primary School, Childcare Development Centre, local retail facilities, residential provision and recreational areas.
